What is bone broth made of?

ZeeKitchen’s bone broth contains beef or chicken bones, vegetables, apple cider vinegar (ACV), aromatic spices & herbs and Himalayan salt.

Where do your ingredients come from?

 The beef bones are from a local farm that is certified with both the BioSuisse and the Demeter label. The chicken bones, vegetables and herbs are from a farm certified BioSuisse. You can learn more about our partners at the bottom of this page.

Why do you need apple cider vinegar?

The acidity in ACV helps break down the collagen from the bones and makes it more abundant in bone broth. Collagen is not only good for our bellies but also our hair, skin, and nails. A real beauty booster!

Why is home-made bone broth better than store-bought cubes?

Cubes that you can buy from the supermarket contain a lot of salt, artificial flavors and additives, mainly Monosodium glutamate (MSG) to enhance flavor.

Home-made bone broth is natural, free from artificial flavors, rich in collagen and contains healthy nutrients for the gut microbiome.

Could I cook my own broth at home?

Yes you can.

The preparation and cooking times are longs ZeeKitchen’s bone broth simmers for at least 24hrs for the beef broth and 18hrs for the chicken broth.

Does ZeeKitchen’s bone broth respect the hygienic standards?

Yes. Our bone broth is prepared using the same methods as our ancestors did but in a professional kitchen that meets the current hygiene standards.

How long does a jar of bone broth store?

Without opening, you can keep it up to four months in a cool dry place and away from direct light. After opening, it should stored in your fridge and consumed within three days to ensure the quality. 

How can I use beef or chicken bone broth?

Heat your broth and have it as a soup. It is also an excellent base for your sauces. You can also cook your rice, risotto, pasta and other side dishes using broth.

Avoid warming your broth in a microwave in order to maintain all it’s nutrients.

What is  demi-glace and how can I use it?

Demi-glace is a richly concentrated brown stock that is carefully reduced until it forms a deep meaty flavored glaze. Demi-glace is the foundation for preparing many sauces and gravies, and enhancing the taste of soups, stews and risottos. 

Can children eat bone broth?

Absolutely. Bone broth is loved by kids and it is very good for their gut health too.

Flax Crackers

Snacks are always a challenge when it comes to healthy eating. Most of what you find in stores even on the organic shelves contain additives or refined sugar.

Our Flax Crackers come to life when we soak raw golden flax seeds in water to begin the sprouting or germination process. This increases the bioavailability of the important nutrients and makes them easier to digest. We then dehydrate our crackers for at least 24hrs at a very low temperature. This delicate process preserves all the vitamins, minerals and natural enzymes. Moreover, your crackers are free from preservatives or chemicals.

Flaxseeds are rich fiber and omega-3 fatty acids. They contain a group of nutrients called lignans which are powerful antioxidants. Each seed is packed with high dietary fiber which promotes regular bowel movement and improve your digestive health. Flax seeds are also a good source of plant-based protein.
